Slide out

* Hi Everyone.... We have a Jayco Greyhawk 2012. Our slide out isn't working. We pushed the button and it will not move. It doesn't even click. We checked the battery and changed the fuses. What else can we do? Why do you think it doesn't work? It has worked fine.

Could be the switch. Pull it out and jump the wires.

We had a 2011 Greyhawk 26ds that the slideout failed to work several times. Everytime it was the same problem, the relay.

In our unit there was a bed in the back-right with a storage under it. I had to remove everything in the storage then climb inside and remove the front wall. Behind this were the electronics and the heater ducts (careful these are easy to damage). On the wall there were several circuit boards screwed directly into the wall. No protective casings, no protection, nothing ( Jayco saving money). One had several medium gauge wires coming out perpendicular to the crcuit board. Unfortunately the bouncing of the RV causes the heavy wires to bounce up and down. These wires are plugged into a quick disconnect plastic socket. The bouncing caused the socket's soldered connections to come loose. Remove the board and check to see if the socket's solder connections have worked loose.

I repaired this once then a few thousand miles later it started again. I finally relocated the board horizontally and used cable brackets to support the wires....

Good luck if this is your problem...

Thank you so much!!! That's exactly what happened. My husband plugged it back in. It works now.

You are welcone. Make sure you fix it properly. Also recommend relocating it so the wires don't pull on it. Having to fix it once is a pain. But having to fix it a second time.....

I also now carry a soldering iron in my toolbox now because of this. I was lucky and the RV park had one I could borrow...
