Slide seals

Just an observation.......
While applying 303 protectant to slide seals I noticed this:
One pic shows slide closed, sealed nicely, the other shows slide partially open/closed.
Not a big deal because when either fully open or closed it seals as it should.
Now the problem arises when closing the slide and it has rained the seal/squeegee doesn't squeegee the slide topper!! Wife said she noticed water on floor between pulled in slide and fridge! Vinyl floor so again no big deal.
I refuse to get a slide topper for the usual reasons on the pro and con side of issue. So now I'll have be more vigilant about blowing off leaves AND water.
As stated above , just an observation and maybe a heads-up.

A few well placed strips of Velcro on the top of the slide will ensure the seal(s) fold and unfold properly.

The seals around the slides aren't designed to "squeegee" water off the slides, they're mainly for sealing the slide while it's out. I always sweep my slides before retracting them, especially after getting rain.
