We have 2 RVs. The older one is now our guest house. It has sat outside in Western NY snowfall for 55 years now and the roof is still flat.

Jayco's ads show their roofs to be the best in the industry (their claims - see all the cement blocks on top). If snow collapses it I'll buy a new trailer. No way am I going to drive 100 miles and trudge thru snow on a 300' long driveway and break my already aching back clearing snow.

Jessica's Law had nothing to do with ice and snow on the roof of a car, truck, or RV.

I have no doubt that a hunk of ice flying off the top of a vehicle could be dangerous to someone following behind, though.
Obviously, Florida has absolutely nothing to do with New Hampshire

Here is why we clear the roof of our Greyhawk.YOu can research the weight of dry snow, wet snow and ice. We often get a foot of snow an inch of rain and then freezes here in new hampshire. Ice and water add weight ,however another reason we clear it off is to prevent melting ice and snow from getting into any crevice it can and then freezing and expanding over and over until you have a new leak. Ice dams have forced water into refrigerator or AC vents. AFter two or three of these types of storms the weight and ice dams increase and then its really hard and more dangerous to move it. Since our rig is in our yard it is part of our storm removal every time we get more than 6 inches...Our last trailer developed many leaks when we did not shovel, we are hoping this will prevent similar leaks in our motor home which is a way bigger investment that we hope to have many years.

Minnesota has a law regarding clearing off the snow and ice from vehicles, bit it does not seam to be unforced. T
It falls within the littering law.
