This is actually the first time I remember them naming a storm like this. Mind you, these aren't typical snow storms though. These are basically tropical storms in the winter months with heavy wind, snow and major coastal flooding. We got well over 2' here. It started snowing here about 36 hours ago and I still haven't seen a plow anywhere near my house. Major roadways were closed with cars left stranded in the roadway.

The snow began about 7am Friday and ended about 7am Saturday. It's not 8:30am Sunday. About 31" here.

We still haven't seen any plows. The roads are horrible. Even if a plow DID come then they wouldn't do too much because the snow on the roads is all compacted down now due to the idiots driving around. It's about 8-10" of hard packed snow on the roads now.

I just took this picture. I live in a court and that white SUV has been parked at the entrance to my court for 24 hours now. I don't think they're stuck because they don't appear to be stuck and no one has even attempted a dig out. A plow couldn't even get into my court to do anything because this a hole is parked at the entrance.

There's a vanity plate on it so I googled it and came across a local real estate firm. I emailed them to remove the car so let's see what happens.

3+ days after the storm began and I STILL haven't seen a plow. Many of my coworkers are already at work somehow. There's a 4x4 Tundra that has been stuck for the past 30 minutes in front of my house. That's why I'm not working today.

Oh, I'm a mailman too so it's not even like I get to work and that's the end of it. Nope, then I'd have to drive a lightweight, rear wheel drive mail truck along hilly, unpaved roads. Not gonna happen.

And for the record, the trucks in my signature are not mine. One is my brother's, one is my Dad's. I drive a mini van. lol

Good thing you didn't go. Most of the Cape is still without power. There saying hopefully by Thursday all will be restored.

My question is, did the realty company move their truck yet??? I can't believe no plows in 3 days, I'd be raising holy hell. Gotta give props to my town they have every road cleaned up, and traffic is back to normal. Stay warm.
