So bummed!
All right my Jayco friends,
So I ordered my 2017 Eagle HT 27.5 rlts the beginning of June, and it was delivered to my dealer yesterday. Yea, so excited! Then the dealer called and said, sorry they put in the wrong windows. It will take 4 to 6 more weeks to get the new one. My wife and I had made plans and now have to change them due to the set back. Jayco said if I take it as is, they will knock off a thousand dollars and I said no. Just a question! Is it wrong of me to ask Jayco to pay for adding a Maxx fan and cover to at least compensate for there screw up and having to change all of my plans? I know accidents happen, but geesh. I am more bummed than angry since I hear so many great things about the company. Thanks for listening, I still love Jayco and just needed to vent!

I'm of the opinion that it wouldn't hurt to ask for a token of compensation but remember they did not make the plans and are not actually responsible.

I ordered the dual pane frameless and they put in the regular single pane, framed ones.

CONGRATULATIONS on the JAYCO (on order)!!!
...and WELCOME TO JOF!!! The members here are GREAT!!! There is a lot of GREAT information to be found here. I am sure that you will have information and pictures to share with us... so please do!!
Don
I would tell Jayco that you would like to be compensated in the form of a fan, but I doubt that they would go along with the cover, but give it a shot. You have nothing to lose.

Now, just asking. Did you see the order sheet? Did the dealer mess up or was it definitely JAYCO?
As was mentioned if it was the factory they might throw in the fan, but the covers are dealer installs.

Talked to a guy at a state park campground recently who says he hates his frameless windows because they do not allow for air flow. He said he wished he had the windows that open sideways that we have.

I read about that, but I am more concerned about keeping a much heat out as possible, lol. Fans and my ac will do fine for me. Hot weather and I don't get along!

I have the double pane windows. I think you will be glad you have them on hot days. They seem to work well.

I love my frameless windows. They let plenty of air in especially with my Fantastic Vent drawing air out. The best part about them is that since they tilt out to open I can leave them open in the pouring rain and no mess/leaks.
