So we sold it!

So after 11 years of ownership we sold our 2013 28BHBE JayFlight!

It had become too large for us as the kids are no longer coming along. Also finding a spot in campgrounds has become more complicated since COVID as you often need to book almost a year in advance given the size of the travel trailer. We decided to say goodbye to it.

It served us good and was surprisingly well built giving us no issues over the 11 yrs of ownership and traveling. No water infiltration, perfect indoor and outdoor condition, it was a blessing.

We had purchased it for $25K tax and accessories in August 2013. Sold it for $20K. I must admit that it was a good decision, as it gave us 30+ nights of camping every summer since we had it and more than 40,000km

Only things I had to do on it aside from regular brake maintenance (every 3 yrs) have been 4 new tires, a battery and suspension replacement.

We have looked at getting a new RV but unfortunately the price asked for the quality offered just doesn't cut it for us. Today's travel trailers are cheaply built and way too expensive. We've decided to move to a class B van, more versatile, easier to just leave whenever we feel like it. Yes they are expensive, but resale value and the utility balance things out for us!

I used to think outside the box. Then inside the box. Now I don't even know where I put the box.

Wow, that turned out to be a great investment! Congratulations. It was great b/c you cared for it AND it was a 2013. Nope, they aren't made like that anymore. Good luck in finding your next perfect camper.
