I don't know anything about the JayCommand system. But with built in solar panels and the solar controller, which is a standard for solar panel setups, there is a flood and float feature that kicks in when your batteries are charged. The Float feature just trickles your batteries and maintains your batterie's charge. I normally see the Flood feature in the first two hours of daylight in the morning, when my TT is sitting idle and not in use. The controller normally has a setting that allows you to set the Flood amount at the top end of the charging arrangement.
