Solar Prep

I have a 312BHOK that has solar prep on the roof and another plug inside the wet-bay. I want to get a small solar kit to trickle charge the battery rather than keeping it plugged into a 110 volt outlet while parked in my driveway. (1) Do I need a solar kit that has a controller or does my prep already contain a controller and all I need is to get a panel and plug it into at the wet-bay connection? (2) What kit is recommended?

Usually there isn't a controller because owners will want to do anything from a $$$$$ lithium system to run AC while boondocks to a $ system to trickle charge a battery. What they have done is run the wires for you.

You won't necessarily need a "kit". A 10 amp controller and 25 watt panel will handle what you are planning.
