Source for Alpha Ply Self leveling Sealant

I'm on a posting roll today!!

Anyone know of a source for the self leveling sealant for the Alpha Ply roof membrane (orange peel white surface)? I saw that Tweety's had it but they wont ship it so it is only available in store.

I'll contact my dealer on Monday, but I want spare tubes of sealant to carry with me.

Thanks!

ValueRVparts.com shows free shipping. I have never dealt with this company, just happened to see it there.

Went to the dealer on Monday. They didn't have the alpha systems sealants but they did have a product called Xtrm PLY Universal self leveling sealant. They really recommended this product. I called Alpha Systems and they only recommend their sealant or the Dicor products. They were weary about any other sealants. The dealer said that the Dicor is now a 2 part material and it may take days to cure, so I bought a tube of the Xtrm. I only have a small repair so I'll use it.

I got the parts department number from Alpha Systems and will order some material direct from them to have on hand.

Now I just need a break in this rain to make the repair.

I just ordered some from adventurerv

http://www.adventurerv.net/1021-self...t-p-29811.html
only place that would ship it and not a bad price.

whoo whoo (or however you want to spell it) first post, but I'm sure many more to come. I've been lurking since we purchased our 264bh a month back.

ADK welcome and congrats on the 1st post...i see you have a few more now.

It is interesting that there are a lot of places that won't ship the sealant. When I asked Alpha systems they said it only gets to be a problem if they ship in quantities greater than 60 tubes. Under that there should be no problem.

It is a good price. I think I read it only has a 1 year shelf life. Let us know how far out the expiration date is when you get it.

I ordered a little over what I thought I'd need, so I should have a little left over. Any ideas on how to extend the shelf life?

Cross out the date you don't like and write your own in Sharpie.

(it's an estimate based on testing & experience..probably related to chemistry, so generaly, cool temp, low light and modest humidity are all good. Rapid changes are bad, evenness in storage conditions are good.)

Good idea

Actually, I received the tubes today. Says 1 year shelf life, but I've looked it over and cannot find a date. Not even a lot number.

I should be using them in several weeks, so hopefully they are not old stock.
