Stabilizers down while in storage - revisited

After reading some well thought out posts here, I was convinced that stabilizers should not be left down while my trailer (195RB, but the advice was general) is in storage, because a flat tire could result in damage to the stabilizers or even the frame.

The downside is that while working on the trailer or getting it ready for a trip, it's not very pleasant to move around the wobbly trailer (made worse because it's parked in a sloping driveway). Psychologically, it also feels more like the trailer is going to roll down the driveway.

Then I realized that I had some jack stands sitting in my garage. I've now put those under the trailer (not jacking it up, about 1/4 inch between the top of the stands and the trailer's axle right next to the springs; they're not tall enough to reach the frame) and put the stabilizers down. Does anyone see any fault in my logic here?

BTW, it's been great having all of you knowledgeable, helpful, and FRIENDLY people on this forum, your ideas and advice have been great!

When down while in storage you are leaving an easy path for rodents to get into your trailer.

Thank you, yes, I know it gives them 7 routes instead of 3. I've taken steps to seal everything up, it's an added risk I'm willing to take. I'm not willing to risk bending things up.

I'm rather lucky. When my trailer is parked at the back of my driveway, with stabilizers up, it is a very solid platform. It wobbles very little.

My X-chocks seemed to help a lot with this while using it without the stabilizers down.

I'm single axle, so unfortunately no help there.
