Stove won't light

One full 30lb propane bottle.
Regulator clicks and shows pressure. ( red flag trips to clear)
Used a butane lighter. Not even blowing the flame away from stove burners.
Tapped the regulator sharply. No change.

What am I missing?

Are you sure you have propane in the tank?

If so, it sounds like the flow valve tripped and is blocking the flow of gas. Fairly common issue. This valve is to prevent a major propane leak.

When it happens to me. I like to turn off the tank, disconnect the tank from the regulator. With the hose disconnected, try to light the stove. This is removing any pressure in the hose. Close the tank valve, have a drink, to ensure the valve has had enought time to reset. Reconnect the tank. Slowly open the propane valve. Light the stove.

This valve is a safety device to ensure during an accident you, including chewing squirrels do not have a free flow of propane leak.

The excess flow protection may have activated cutting off the flow of gas even though tank valve is open.

To correct situation you need to make sure all propane-using devices are off. Shut off tank valve. Remove connection/regulator from tank for a few seconds. Reinstall connection to tank. SLOWLY turn tank valve back on.

If propane won't flow after that you may have defective regulator provided you are certain tank is full.

I swapped sides just for good measure.
No doubt due to weight.

If propane not flowing elsewhere (unknown leak?) I might suspect the regulator itself.

Are other propane appliances also without gas, i.e. water heater, furnace, refrigerator?

Update.
Line from tank to regulator is very cold.
I unscrewed the bleeder valve on the tank.
Liquid propane bled off for a couple of minutes.
Waiting for hose temp to moderate.
Tank may have been over filled.

Will let y'all know if this helps or not.

Trailer is new, as well as tanks, from 2-16.

I reckon I'm eating cold cereal tonight instead of spaghetti.
I'll call dealer in the morning.

Dealer agrees, it's the regulator.
I'll remove it and he will give me a new one.
Should be cooking by sunday.
