Stuck Sewer Hose Connection Solution

Anyone ever have their sewer hose get stuck on the TT's outlet? I had this happen in a steady rain last year. I left my inlaws in the rain and went to a Love's to dump the Black and Grey tanks. There must have been a lot of sand kicked up on the TT outlet. I rinsed it off as best I could, but must not have removed all the sand. So after dumping in the rain (worst designed dump station in the world), I go to remove my sewer hose from the TT. It won't budge. Spent 1/2 hour in the rain trying to get it disconnected. I was finally able to work it free.

Solution I came up with....pair of $5 strap wrenches from harbor freight. Saw those and immediately bought the set. Now if that hose get's stuck I can get a little more leverage. I've already had to use it twice. The viper hose seems to have a very tight fit/connection. Cheap and lightweight fix.

I have 3 of those -small, medium, large - and I WAS going to leave them behind. After reading this, I'm taking them along.

I'll smear some plumbers grease on the rubber o-ring seal. It doesn't help with the locking lugs, but keeps the seal from sticking. Some of my connectors work easier than others.

This tool from Amazon is new to me also, thanks for posting. I have had difficulty getting the cover cap on and off and found that the water filter plastic wrench fits that and does the job but won't work on the hose connections.

I bought that from Amazon last fall. Had to use both my 15' hoses together and then couldn't get them apart. Worked perfect.
