Switch labeled fireplace/water heater

Just bought a 2017 Jayco White hawk 29reks travel trailer there is a switch on wall back by fireplace labeled fireplace one way and water heater the other does anybody know what this is? water heater switches are in control panel why is this one labeled water heater also?

They are probably on the same breaker and you can only run one at a time.

Had the same switch in our 2011 Jayco 33RLDS. You us either one or the other, cannot use both at the same time.

I have seen that same arrangement with the fireplace and the vacuum on other rigs. Not Jayco. Especially back before 50a rigs were common.

As others have said, you can use one or the other. When I took delivery on my White Hawk, the dealer told me I could use the electricity and gas at the same time on the water heater to have continuous hot water. I haven’t seen a need to do that because I usually camp without a sewer hookup and that would quickly fill my black tank.

It's not a hot water heater. It's a water heater. If the water were hot, you wouldn't need to heat it.
