Tax Time - Reporting RV as Second Home Question

We are trying to finish our taxes and have a question about the RV. We traded campers last year in July. Does anyone know if we can only claim the old camper or only the new camper on our taxes or since we sold one and bought a new one, or can we claim both? This would be under a second home claiming interest paid. Thanks in advance for any input on this.

not a tax expert here, but I would think that you could claim the total interest paid on both loans. As for taxes, only the actual taxes paid both sales and property.

My understanding is that you can claim camper #1 through July and camper #2 from July thru Dec.
You only had 1 2nd home at a time, so treat them as one.

That is how we are interpreting it to, Doug.
