Question The Jayco Extended Warranty...

My dealer told us that most dealerships will tell you that you have to buy the extended warranty at the time of purchase, but in reality you actually have up to a year to purchase it.

So my questions are:

1. Is this true?

2. Does it really extend the warranty to 7 years, and if so, what does it cover?

3. How much is it?

I got the extended warranty when I purchased my 28BHBE. It was offered for "free" at the RV show when I purchased...I'm sure that I paid for it in some fashion though! I was told that it extends the warranty from 2 yrs to 5 yrs, NOT 7. I've only had the TT for just over a year now and took it in for minor repairs in January. All was fixed, not questions asked. I was told that the warranty is a "bumper to bumper" warranty. So far so good, but like I said, I haven't had any major problems. I'm very happy with our decision to purchase a Jayco product and the 5 yr warranty was a plus to us. Don't know whether or not I helped you or not.

Not all dealerships sell the "JAYCO" extended warranty some use Route 66 or one of the other underwriters. Our dealer sells a 5 year "all inclusive" Premier Plan for around $1,800.
