The New Chevy HD Truck...Beauty in the eye of the beholder
Looks like Ford truck sales are going to increase. Sorry GM but this thing is hideous.

Yes seems that 2020 2500HD is kinda ugly in the front. Our 2016 2500HD IMHO has a fairly good looking front, etc. But the gas engine (6.0L) is an underpowered gas hog compared to prior Ram with 5.7L....

I'll be sticking with my '17 3500HD then
Maybe there'll be an aftermarket front end conversion kit so you can do a face lift on it.

People were saying the new Ford Super Duty looked hideous when it came out.
But yeah, the GMC definitely looks the best now.

Over on the FTE Forum they said this was an artist rendering.

That's not the HD version, it's the Sierra
https://www.gmc.com/trucks/sierra-1500-pickup-truck
But looks like the GMC will have a different front end and hopefully much better design.

RAM's as well; their redesigned 2019's are segment leaders now IMHO.

Ram and GM gained market share while Ford slipped a bit but still out in front in November in overall light truck sales. The new models are selling well.

OK now we see the High Country trim. While I don't find a straight-on shot of the front, this looks, to me, to be much more acceptable.

Ok the high country looks somewhat better but to get that front end you may be paying a lot more. I wonder why Chevy didn't release that picture first instead of the ugly one.

I suspect that they knew exactly what they were doing by posting the lower trim level first. It's created quite a buzz out there and then today's reveal will just keep things going with this less controversial front-end. I'm not a fan of all of the chrome so the mid-level trims should be pretty sweet.

The front end of the '20 looks much better than mine(2016). Minus the spelled out Chevrolet over the top of the grill. I'd prefer a simple bow tie. A blacked out bow tie maybe. I like that it has less rake, and the new mirrors/hood look cool. It's less of an old man's truck out of the box. At least as pictured.
To be honest I try and avoid eye contact with the front end of my '16 Chevy. It reminds me a little of the station wagon in National Lampoon's Vacation. The GMC looks way better. GM seems to struggle with the front of these things. I like the other 3 sides/interior and it's all wrapped around a dmax Allison combo so all is forgiven.

You know they have twenty different grills in the chevys depending on trim level so I wouldn’t get too crazy about the ugly grill
