The Rooftop Deck is Coming Along!

We have bolted the side rails into the metal roof frame of the RV (they will take 100% of the weight, similar to the design Trik Fab uses), and now we are laying out the box sections to get ready for welding the sections together and bolting them to the side rails. Next steps are the decking, the fold down railings, and then the stairs that go diagonally down from the top corner of the driver's side to the bottom corner of the passenger side (with railings as well, the stairs are 18 inches wide, so they extend the length of the RV by about 6 inches beyond where the ladder was). The deck extends from the rear to just ahead of the bathroom vent (the a/c gets a lid and becomes a coffee table), so 14 feet.

This will be exciting when it's done!
