If first responders were already on scene, why the hell is a semi traveling so fast. Why wasn't advance warning in place, I.E. flashing lights, flags, police cruisers a quarter of a mile before the crash site. So many things wrong here.

Who says that advance warning wasn't in place???? As a firefighter who is on the interstate frequently and can attest that people do not slow down in poor visibility (as seen in the video with dense fog and rain) or for construction or for accidents. All first responder vehicles did have their emergency lights activated and we in the median trying to help the victims of the accident.

See it day in and day out. Doesn’t matter how many flashing lights, Neon signs, barricades, cones, or orange barrels you put on the road, there’s always someone not giving a crap. Distracted by phones, radios, tired, or just plain irresponsible and disregards common sense seems to be the norm now days. That dude was hauling #$& in low visibility weather and should be punished as such.

AMEN! And make it enough that it gets buried deep in his thoughts. That's one of the main reasons I quit doing First Responder work. Too many drivers forget there is other folks on the road. Don't know how many times we were working to get someone trapped loose and had to keep one eye on the road and one on the job.
