Thomas Payne theater seat replacement???

Our friends are on route to sunny Florida in their SOB that also has the Thomas Pain theater seats. Talked to them last night and after 2 years of use, their Thomas Pain theater seats have lost heat, massage and recliner function on both sides. Each failure occurred over time. They're going to give Lippert a call and see if they'll do anything for them.

I'm thinking about selling ours while new and buy a replacement wall hugger love seat. Any recommendations from members that have gone this route and are happy with the replacement. I don't need any electric functionality. A manual lever for the recline would be fine. Just looking for comfort and reliability.

Lazyboy has always been our 1st choice. Backs come off so they fit thru door opening easily. Pretty good quality. Get them on sale.

I removed our sleeper-sofa and replaced it with a 3 recliner from TP about a year and a half ago. I didn’t want the powered version for the same reasons your friends are experiencing so I picked the manual version. Thus far they’ve proved themselves very durable. Their “sofas” come in pieces that hook together so you buy what you need. In my case, left and right recliners and a center recliner. After putting them in place I discovered I had about 18” of space left over. I then ordered an arm rest piece which goes between a couple of the recliner pieces. The result is the existing space was filled just right.
I’m pleased with my manual TP’s.

Thanks RoadrunnerII and RedHorse1. I like Lazy Boy for longevity and I'll check out the TP manual selections.

Look at the la-z-boy Pinnacle series. It looked like a good fit to replace ours. I just haven't pulled the trigger on them yet.

I'd looking for the wall hugger feature as well, so the chair doesn't have to be pulled away from the wall before reclining.

Wallaway normally are not rocker recliners or swivel rockers
We like to rock so ours have to be stowed and tied down

That’s a good point. Reminded me that my TP seating needs to have the rear feet 16.5” from the back wall to recline. Since I bought them they’ve been free floating and the rough roads cause them to move around some. I have some curtain hardware that sticks out a bit. Without that I could get away with being maybe 1.5” closer. I’m making some easy mods to my slide because it isn’t quite deep enough for these recliners (about 33” to the front lip where it tapers down). With the holidays I haven’t had much time to work on it. If your existing furniture is in a slide you might the same issue. It sounds like your existing loveseat is also a TP so the manual ones might fit.
