Time to DeWinter, can't take it anymore.

We hit 80 degrees in Denver today at my house. I'm officially pulling my camper out of hibernation tomorrow.

I have supplies on hand if I need to re-winterize (air compressor and 1 jug of anti-freeze)

Anyone else coming out of hibernation early this year?

Probably too soon for anyone living out near Connecticut, especially after their last storm, but I just can't take it anymore.

We're hoping to find a walk up site at one of our local state parks, 80% of the sites don't take reservations this early, will just try our luck I guess.

LOL I just got a little twinge of winter-time blues reading your post, I cant wait until it is time to de-winterize. I am thinking another 3 weeks to be safe. 24 degree high today in my stretch of Ohio.

I'm dying to get my new BAL stabilizing jacks on my white Hawk to replace the original crap jacks. Just need a day over 55 degrees and no rain.

Maybe sometime in late June.

Our winter has been fairly mild. I was thinking of pulling it out in a few weeks, about a month early. However, it sounds lie work has other ideas for me.

I'm getting mine out Monday to de-winterize and doing my 1st camping trip of the year on the last weekend in March. Going to Paint Creek State Park. Do you live in the area, or do you mind me asking what area of OH you are from? I am hoping to do alot of the State Parks in OH as my wife gets the Golden Buckeye Discount and we've got some beautiful State Parks in Ohio. I do alot of kayaking and a little bike riding & hiking with my dog Max

Hiya Kayak,
I'm a few hours north of you, about halfway between Cleveland and Columbus. I do quite a bit of canoeing myself. Have you stayed at Mohican State Park in Loudonville? Great canoe and kayak access to the Mohican river, Lots of dog friendly hiking trails, and it is a beautiful park.

Mine only stayed winterized for a month or so... I have the stuff to do it if need be but we've already seen temps in the low 90s... at the end of February. It's gotten down close to freezing a couple of times since, but... I've been using mine this winter (hah). The bugs are going to carry us away after this mild of a winter.

A week ago the grass was beginning to green up. Temps in the 60's. Starting thinking about taking the cover off....

Two days ago 20" of stupid-white-stuff and temps barely breaking freezing for another 3 days.

We'll have to wait for Mother Nature to make up her mind!

We were getting excited with the warm temperatures. We anticipated de-winterizing and had made reservations in Oklahoma for 4 days next weekend. However, looking at the long range forecast, there is a chance of severe thunderstorms one of those days and 3 days of forecasted winds from the south and west between 40-50 mph. Hopefully the weather prognosticators are wrong.

That happens around here this time of the year too. 80 one day, blizzarding the next. It's always so hard knowing when to pull the trigger on making plans. The weather around here is so nice, the only downside is most of the parks have fire bans in place already.

Camping without a fire is major lame..

I forgot what a P.I.A it is to crawl under the bottom bunk to un-bypass the hot water heater.

I feel like Dracula in his wooden box, if only the fanged one was 3 foot tall, he'd probably fit.

I see a new mod in my future.
