Time to replace camping chairs

The the has come to replace my camping chairs.

My current Colman max chairs are not stable enough for my 2 year old daughter to be climbing on. When she sits on them they tip forward, not risking that around a fire.

What do you feel is the best chair?

I value any opinion, price to me is not a huge issue. I look at a camping chair as kinda like a comfortable pair of shoes, you could save money buying a cheaper pair, but if the more comfortable pair is more expensive, it is worth it. If I am going to spend thousands on a camper I want to be comfortable when I am getting drunk around a fire.

We use Strongback and love them. Great for my aching back and a good warranty. A little pricey but worth it to me.

I have the king kong chair from alps mountaineering. so far I love it. fits me very well and is very sturdy but is on the heavy side. I also bought their folding table and that is nice also. it is 2 tiered so when it rains all your valuables are protected . http://a.co/9OE2Jwq

Director style camping chairs from Costco with the attached folding side tables.

I have director style chairs for the field sports and concerts. In the camper we have zero gravity chairs as I started with 2 and my kids immediately gravitated to them to which everyone has their own now.

Stable on both styles for kids. The downside to the directors are no movement to take a nap in . Downside to the Zero gravity is space for hauling around and weight.

We have two of these Zero-Gravity Chairs that I bought on Amazon. This is our fourth season and they have held up great.

Picked up some "ergo high-back" chairs from cabelas, and they are pretty good. Not quite as comfortable as zero-gravity chairs for napping, but I can sleep anywhere. Somewhat bulky to store.

For kids, I think those directors chairs are probably most stable.

We also use the Coleman Camping quad chairs. Have a set of four at home, and have a set of four at our camper. Our lot is not the flattest, and these chairs have never tipped or anything with our children in there. I've never used the cooler part, and the kids usually just throw random things in there.

The cup holder is hit or miss. It holds most things, but some of the various yeti things we have don't fit nicely in there. I would say the cup holder is on the small side if you like having oversized yeti's full of your favorite beverage -- could be an issue.

They are a pain to nicely put back into the bag because of the cooler thing. But it's fine.

We’ve got the same. They’re great. Four years and they don’t show any wear. Only downside is no cup holder.

Buy child appropriate chairs for them. When our 2 were toddlers (about 15 years ago), we purchased 2 child sized foldable beach chairs, similar to these. Ours only had 1 position, but they did have the little storage bag and shoulder straps so they could easily carry their own chairs. We bought them at Walmart for like $10. We kept them in the RV for years and used them when young nieces or nephews visited. We eventually gave them away to siblings with little ones.

We bought four chairs about 8 years ago called Tailgaters. Got them at a sporting goods store and they've been incredible. Need to start replacing them soon but they still work.
