tire guage

Just read an article on tire gauges. Seems they can be off by as much as 1 to 15 lbs. I know tire pressure is critical. Just curious, what brand do you folks use. Is digital best. Seems like accutire gauges are most accurate.Need your opinion.

I like this one, but it only goes to 60 psi. They also make models with 40 psi and 20 psi scales.

I have several some cheap some free and one Milton tire filler with built in gauge. I get a bunch and compare them on a tire and when I get 2 or 3 that read the same those are the ones I use and throw the other away. Only way I know of to be close to accurate.

I use a tire gauge that registers the psi in the tire. When I air the tires up, they register the same as my truck gauges inside on the console. For our purposes, pulling a boat or a fifth-wheel and a boat together, I wonder if this is accurate enough?

I use the Accutire brand which seems to provide consistent measurements between the 2 I have. I threw away a Slime brand mechanical guage that was 5 lbs off.

I just tested the three I have. The two small ones showed the same but the one for trucks showed 5lbs less.Guess its time to retire the truck tire guage.

It's like having two watches and never knowing the correct time. It's not easy to calibrate a pressure gauge. If I compare three and two agree how do I know it's not the odd one that is correct? I don't know. I just buy good ones and that's all I can do.
