RE: small truck big trailer

I recently saw a guy with a 5th wheel using a Nissan Titan, never seen that before. They have a lot of power, but are a 3/4 size 1/2 ton or something like that. I know brakes were typically a problem, some rear ends, but good trucks otherwise. Buddy worked for company that put 400k on his work Titan and he liked it. Blew away the v6 chevy work truck they him as replacement...but he wasn't pulling a 5'er!

Thanks for advice on black tank and poo. Yea we were told about the RV paper and stuff, but didn't think about not leaving the drain open.

SWMBO's Tacoma is no small truck. While the model is 1/4 ton class, she bought the crew cab and the dealer stuck her with the long bed.

I've been under the truck several times for routine maintenance. It matches many 1/2 ton's for design, thickness of the frame and suspension components.

The only upgrades she's done:
- Had the dealer add a skid plate.
- Install more aggressive tires when the LT quiet tread OEM tires wore out.

The brake controller was the only thing needed for towing. The 7-pin connector, harness, class III hitch and oil cooler were factory.

My dad had a Ford Ranger, Chevy S-10, Toyota Hi-Lux and Ford Courier (rebadged Mazda B-Series) over the years. Those were small trucks.
