Tomorrow is the day!!!
We pickup our first ever RV (22fb)!!! 10:30 am AST ;-)
I'm going to have a bunch of questions answered tomorrow.
You all have been great, but tomorrow I'm gonna find out
1. What's it going to be like towing a trailer that size with my truck.
2. Will I be able to back in in my driveway.
3. Can we get it level
Our driveway slopes down toward road, so it might make it tricky with #2&3.
We do have a plan 'b', storing at a friends place, but really hoping plan 'a' works out.

Congratulations on your new trailer. A pair of walkie talkies makes backing a trailer much easier.

I hope plan A works for you. Nothing like being able to look out your window and see your trailer when not using it or having it at home to work on/play around with it!

When backing in, I suggest you choose the direction such that your driver door is on the inside of the curve. That way, you will be able to look out the driver window and see where your trailer tires are tracking. Once you are into the laneway, your mirrors will come into play. To go from the other direction, is know as going from the Blind Side.

Take your time when you back it in the driveway!!!
Do not let anyone rush you. Those that pull trailers know that it takes time to back it in the spot you want.
I might also suggest to take your TV and TT to an empty parking lot and practice backing the TT.
Take tennis balls, safety cones or something that you can see when backing the TT in a spot.
You may want to make sure that hand signals between both of you are what you understand and that he/she make them large enough to see in a mirror!!

If this is your first RV, you may want to bring a camcorder or a note pad and a pen for your PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) so you have some idea how things work.
Take your time through the PDI as well. They are aware that this takes time.

Great advice as always. Yes, it's 5:30 in the morning,
I'm just like a kid at Xmas ;-)!
I have towed a 16 ft sailboat before, go I'm not a complete
towing virgin;-))
out of necessity I have to back in the way David said, we have a
telephone pole on the one corner, which would make a blindide backin
extremely difficult. My biggest concern is the angle of the driveway.
How close is the bottom/back of the rv to scraping on the driveway?
As for walkie talkies, our cellphones will do the trick. Unlimited
service between my wife and I. So we can put them in
speaker mode and I can have mine sitting in the cupholder beside
me. Yes, they might not work at some campgrounds because
of the service, but they will work in our driveway :-)
I also have an rv'r friend coming over this afternoon to help us.

22fb is now in the driveway! :-)
We wre now officially Jayco owners. Trip home was uneventful.
Truck on level roads reved in thr 1500-1700 Rpms, on hills if I anticipated the
truck worked in the 3000 rpm range. Did have to step on it a little
bit when I forgot about an upcoming hill, truck rev'd up in the 3750 rpm range.
As for the driveway, it fit ok had enough clearance that nothing scraped
the only issue is the hitch when we got it level was nearly
4ft off the ground. Looked too precaroius, so we lowered it, but can't run the fridge. We can live with that. I'll post a pic later

Good point with that much angle on the driveway. I think for good measure I would chock all 4 wheels on the low side.

Now that you have the first time in the driveway thing over you will find that it only gets easier as you do it. After 3 or 4 times and it will be like a habit. Congratulations on being a Jayco owner. As Crabman says "nothing like looking out the window and seeing your trailer".

I picked up 4 heavy duty rubber chocks about 2 months ago.
So, yes all 4 wheels are chocked. We're going to pick up a
pair of x-chocks in the near future. I've got a pic, will get posted tomorrow
