Tools?

Trying to gradually put together a tool kit for the tt. Just curious what others carry as "must have" items?

I carry a scaled down version of tools you would find in a typical garage. dont forget a decent jack/wrench, electrical parts (wire nuts, strippers, tape..) WD-40, hammer, flashlight, screwdriver set, small tube of silicone, sockets/wrenches,pliers, zip ties, multi-meter, etc. there is just a lot of stuff you CAN carry, just need to figure what you NEED to carry. no need to add addl weight to your rig if you dont need to.

I am a newbie, but i was trying to find the best tool set that would cover most of my needs when i was out camping. I didn't want to stock from my garage tollbox, so I just bought the tool set below from sears, because it had all the essentials, plus the plastic bin to hold fuses, light bulbs, screw, etc. it even includes the square screwdriver bit, And the price was fairly reaonable. The things i plan to add are duct tape, electrical tape, and a couple of other items. Hope this helps.

I added to my tool kit a LARGE pair of channel lock pliers, usefull for all kinds of large jobs, and around camp I always carry a multi tool , available anywhere for about 10 dollars. It is always nice not to have to go for the tool box for a screwdriver or pair of pliers, when you carry it with you.

Be sure to have a socket to fit the lug nuts and an extension if you have to change a tire. A jack might be an item to have if you didn't have one.
