Which model do you have?

Yes, I think it's a good brand, it's what I have. That said, TST gets great reviews as well. IMHO, one of these two and you won't be sorry.
There may be more but those are what I've heard about.

Okay, thank you so the A1A or the tm55c-b TireMinder I know the A1A are a little more, so I guess that I'm asking which model and if you have the tm55:-) did you get the booster?

I've had mine for a bit over 5 years and it's an older unit, a TMG400. I see the manual is available still. I bought it without a booster and then figured I needed one and bought it separate. I've had one sensor go bad and bought a pair of replacements so I now have a spare.
While in storage, I remove the sensors.

FWIW, I bought the TM55 and booster a couple of months ago. I've taken three trips with it and it worked great except on the last trip when I couldn't get a signal from the rear passenger side tire. Realized I forgot to plug in the booster. Once I did that, no more problem.

Just ordered the Tireminder TM-77 for our TT. Hope to get it installed before our next trip. It will be the longest trip we have made. 1400 miles round trip.

Because of this thread, I bought the Tire Minder 55b c. Installed it, no booster, and picks up all four sensors on the 20MRB. Granted, my trailer is shorter than most.

We are 400 miles into a 6000 mile round trip with the original Rainier tires that already have at least 10,000 freeway miles on them.

Do they work? I only want to monitor the 4 trailer tires but would be about 38' from the console to tires and wondering about the range with out booster. It seems I can use a wireless thermometer for $20 that reaches a 100' flawlessly...plus I like the small simple cigarette lighter plug in style. Attachment 29681

Update / Review:

I did end up purchasing and installing this tpms from Amazon. I am pleased to say it works great. I have used it for 3 trips now and it reads the tp and tempature with out fault. As others have mentioned I was concerned about the range as my truck is close to 20' and my trailer is 37' however I have had no issues. The only thing with this tpms is that you have to be moving at least 20 km/h for the sensors to read on the display also it can take a few minutes for all 4 to come on line. Once all 4 sensors begin to read I have never lost signal though during the trip. So far very pleased with the performance and the price tag! I would recommend this tpms.

Question for u guys. My Smart TPMS recommends only using the lock washers on the tire transmitters for questionable parking places. Seems there might corrosion problem with the dissimilar metals on stainless valve stems like on high pressure rims. So how concerned are u about someone stealing ur transmitters and do u use the lock rings all the time?
Tks

and for those who have not invested into the best thing on the road... Just think of the peace of mind knowing that you can ask the DW to "Check the tires" while you are rolling down the highway... Yes, she can go from tire to tire and check the pressure and temperature of every tire you have on the ground ( and even the spare if you want ) without having to stop at the next 'Rest Stop', 'Chainup Area', Ranch Exit, Truck Stop, Bathroom Stop... while you still have your foot on the Skinny Pedal.... Priceless!

(Yes... she bought it for my Birthday too... Love her great choices)

I don't use the lock rings as I rarely park the RV anywhere but home or in an RV park. But I do use a very light coating of anti-seize lubricant on the threads. Better safe than sorry when it comes to getting the transmitters off without damaging them.

I do not use them. I remove the sensors when the 5th is stored but keep them on when on the road. 5 yrs with no issues.

So today, SWMBO & I are cruising east on US 212 in Montana when the Tire Minder starts beeping it's head off. I looked and see the RR tire blinking and what I thought was 5 pounds reading on the gauge. Luckily, there was a nice wide spot on the shoulder. I got out to look and tire was as round as it could be.

I went back to the cab and read the gauge again and realized it said "No S" meaning no signal was being received. Fiddled with it for a few minutes and decided to live with the flashing warning on the RR tire. Once we started out, it again picked up the signal. Ran fine for several hours and then, after hitting a sizable bump on I-90 in So. Dakota, it lost the signal again.

No biggie, will delve into it later.

I am glad to see that rv'ers are seeing the importance of knowing what's happening with our tires real time.

My TST system has a special tool to unscrew them but it is not what I would call secure if a scum bag was looking to steal one. A pocket knife could quickly remove mine if it were not for the metal valve stems.

Mine has saved my bacon more than once. I have had one catastrophic blow out from road metal that was an instantaneous flat that no system could have anticipated but by and large I have come to depend on it like a essential part of towing.
