I have the TST 507 system with standard non-flow through sensors. The system has worked great for over 5 years now. No booster needed.
Edlanta, how do you know what the wheels are rated for ? Do you have to remove the tire to be able to tell ?

I'd rather not have to replace the valve stems with metal if it's not necessary.

Thanks!

Hi Roger,

I've had a PressurePro system on previous TT and now the TST RV-507 system on our current FW.
TST RV-507 system is hands down, much, much better then the PressurePro system.
I consistently got sensor drop outs and false warnings from the PressurePro on a 29' TT.

Note: with the TST RV-507 system I did add metal valve stems, though others have indicated using the TST with regular valve stems with no problems.

I also have a repeater. I was having intermittent problems with the farthest tire sensor dropping out. Since I got the repeater, no issues.

As others have mentioned, TST has excellent customer support.

Good luck.

Ottawasteve,

My wheels have a stamp (inside) that indicates 3,580# MaxRating.

I didn't have to remove the tire, but I did had to crawl under the trailer with a flash light and look at the inside of the wheel. The flash light helped find and see the stamp clearly.

Hope this helps.

Crawl around to the back side of your tires with a flashlight and look at the rim. You will either see a weight max or max pressure or both. If you don't see this rating then it will be inside the rim meaning the tire has to be taken off, but I'll bet it will be on the rim where you can see it. Take a rag with him in case it is covered up with road gunk.

If you call Jayco support with your rv serial number they will tell you what the wheels are rated for.

After much research, including recommendations from here, and price comparisons, I just ordered a TireMinder TM55c-B, which includes 4 brass sensors, a signal booster, and the base unit.
Considerations:
  • Recommendations from forum members
  • Price - $184.99 with free shipping
  • Replaceable batteries
  • Signal booster included
Thanks to everyone who shared thoughts, experiences and suggestions!

I see it on sale for $150. But what about the TV? I would want 8 sensors minimum.

I hope it serves you well. Ours is the best money I ever spent for peace of mind while towing.

I decided to buy it direct from the mfgr. Note that the $150 price is most likely without the signal booster, which you will need for a TT. Additional sensors are not terribly expensive if you need them.

So it had enough channels to accommodate more sensors?

And you are right, had to select it with the booster and it came to $184
