Trailer Sales Slowing Down????

I put our 2019 248RSBW up for sale here and CL about a month ago and only one call.

I thought trailers/RV's were selling quickly ?

I think it's listed at a fair price after searching.

Maybe too many fires here in California?

Will be interesting to see retail sales for 3rd quarter when they come out. Shipments by manufactures will stay up until inventory is replenish at dealers. Inventory on dealers lots in North Alabama looks to be increasing. As noted by by several knowledgeable people on this forum the market may be getting ready for a flood of used RVs.

I think you may be on to something about the the fires! DW and I love to camp in the Sierra Mountain range. We usually dry camp between Red Bluff Ca and Susanville Ca. That neck of the world is on fire. We had planned a trip to the small town of La Porte ( about 40 miles outside of Quincy Ca. ) but we canceled that trip due to the fire danger. The north coast has been in and out smoke for the last week or so. We’re just staying home. We have members of JOF in Quincy Ca, a prayer for them may not be a bad thing!

Yes we enjoy the Sierras also and not just camping in the trailer.
Many places we've been to are on fire!

In addition to the fires, it is getting towards the end of the RVing season for many RV'rs, especially those with school age children. I suspect sales are highest in the Spring. ~CA

We picked up our '21 Pinnacle last week. There was another identical unit next to ours, same year, same options. Dealer said they were identical except for the price. +10K. We has talked about it when we bought ours three months ago.

We pass by a consignment lot once a week that has about 30 RV'S parked there. It's the same ones week after week. A couple of Jaycos and a Surveyor that sit right along the highway that we know for sure haven't moved since they were parked months ago.

The lot full of RV'S parked at Camping World in Henderson, NV are all waiting for service....looks like an RV Show
