Traveling I-25 through Denver, low bridge clearance?
All the posts I'm finding online about this go back to 2009-2010, so I'm hoping someone has some more recent information.
Supposedly, between mileposts 200.11 and 213.85 on I-25 in downtown Denver, there is a bridge with a 13'-0" height restriction. We have a 34.5 BHTS with a rear AC unit that brings our clearance above that. There is supposedly a detour for overheight loads.
Does anyone know if the bridge has been revamped since then to accommodate larger vehicles? Or will we still need to take the detour?
Stacy

Check an atlas and see if I 225 bypasses that particular area. If so hit I 70 east to 225 south. 225 turns back into I 25.

There is a website operated by the American Independent Truckers Assn. (aitaonline.com) that has a link to low clearance/restricted height overpasses listed by state. It shows nothing for I-25 in Denver, but there is a disclaimer that the posted info. is 3rd. party and it's accuracy cannot be guaranteed.

The Allstays app on my iPhone does not show any low clearances (15' or less) on I-25 through Denver. I do see a 13' warning on a street passing UNDER I25 (W 38th Ave.).
If you go that way be sure to post what you find.
Safe Travels!

I-25 bridge struck by truck injures motorist with falling debris - The Denver Post
From reading the above article and the comments it seems the lowest parts of that stretch of I-25 is 13' 6". There are signs, according to one of the comments, telling drivers that if they are over this height to use the center lanes. I think you should be OK... if in the center lanes...

Is the Rear AC an aftermarket unit? Never heard of a stock item on a production RV exceeding height restrictions on US bridges and overpasses.

If in doubt take the exit there go up over and back onto the freeway.. This takes a few min but is faster than a detour.

I believe there are still a couple of old bridges left that have low clearance if you are in the left lane. Stay in the middle or right hand lanes and you will have no problems.

They don't, but road construction/modifications can cause legal clearance to be reduced. IIRC 14'3" is legal minimum clearance.

As I recall, there are overpasses in Detroit I-94 which are in the 12 foot range. Signs tell you to take a different route if you're tall.
