Traveling Observations
We just finished a week vacation traveling from Dallas, Texas to Taos, New Mexico. We didn't take an RV trip, just drove our car and stayed in a cabin.
That being said we are always hyper aware of any RV's on the road and man were there plenty. We were amazed at the number of units out there, I've done road trips all my life and I don't think I have ever seen that many RV's on the road. There were some interesting stats though. The Class A's and 5th wheels outnumbered bumper pulls by at least 20 to 1. Which makes sense I guess considering we were on some long open roads, and there are some "high wind" areas out west that I would NOT have taken a bumper pull through. Out of the hundreds of units we saw there were only 2 or 3 that I would have considered dangerous drivers. Most were tucked into the right lane and doing under posted speed (75mph) most of the way. We met quite a few other RVers when we would be a stop or doing some sort of tour of a town. They ranged from weekenders to full timers, retired, etc, etc. And everyone couldn't have been any nicer. Just happy folks enjoying their RV lifestyle.
Anyway, just thought I would share our thoughts and observations while on the road.
Happy Trails everyone...

When I die, I want to go peacefully like my grandfather did–in his sleep. Not yelling and screaming like the passengers in his car.
