Trifold Couch Gap?

Hey everyone! My husband and I recently purchased a Jayco Eagle 357MDOK. I just went to fold the couch in the living room out into a bed. There is a huge, meaning 3 to 4 inch gap in between the back part that is normally the back rest that folds down and then the next two sections. Everything is perfectly even, so the back cushions don’t seem to go on top of that to fix the gap, just wondering if anyone has any insight? Thanks!

We discovered this too. Just a terrible design. I had a tri-fold in my Eagle HT that was quite nice. I was really disappointed with this one. Only thing I can think to do is to add an air mattress or something.
