Trying to upgrade

We spent a few hours today looking at Class C's and class A's. I sometimes wonder what the designers are thinking. In a class C today the only toilet (seat) was so small only a child might be able to do their business. in another, the toilet space was so small that the bathroom vanity stuck under my arm pit when I sat down. In multiple designs the shower was open to the hall, glass doors, and no place to dry off or hang towels.

Getting older and thought a class C might reduce some of the prep work for trips. We are not large people, 5'9", 180 lbs. but in more than one bathroom there was barely room to even bend over the sink to brush your teeth. I guess we are going to have to wait for the 2023's to come out and hope that the designs are a bit more spacious.

Or, stick with the wonderful design in our 23mrb and maybe just move to a different type of weight distribution system that doesn't force me to lift to attach the chains. We want to stick with Jayco!!!

Hi travelingjw,
Have you seen the Jayco Melbourne 24L?

Regarding your current hitch.... have you seen the Andersen? - I'm over 70 and I learned this one is pretty good when you can't lift a lot of weight

My r3 hitch bars just swing into place after raising the trailer jack while hooked to the truck.

There's only so much space inside so I guess they've got to choose how they spend it. On our 29MV, the shower opens to the hall and at first glance seems to have no privacy. But when you look closer, the bathroom door is designed to swing open and latch, giving privacy from the front to the shower/bathroom/bedroom. We have hooks on the inside of the bathroom door which gives us a place to hang our towels when we're in the shower. Works well for the two of us!

We understand your observations well! We had to search high-and-low for the right floorplan that fit our needs. While our Seneca floor plan has been discontinued, the 36FK has a bathroom that is roomy, private and functional. It has all of the items you mentioned in one enclosed space.

Also considering the Class-C, Class-A or Super-C... you get everything you need while on-the-road. Many times we have stopped during torrential rain for lunch, or just a stretch-break from the driving, and stayed perfectly dry while hitting the bathroom, making a snack or anything else.
