TST extender on 28DSBH

Hi Guys,

I need to connect TST extender. Could you suggest the most optimal connection? I have my batteries in the back of the trailer, so this would not work. I was thinking about cutting the cable going to the jack and connect there or using this solar socket.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

I mount my TPMS exender that is much like yours inside the pass through and hooked up to the light inside of it.

I need to take a look again - I insulated the pass-through. I took a look earlier today and did not see any light there, but maybe I covered this 3-4 years ago... need to take a look again.

Did you install any additional switch for the extender?

I did not install a switch for the extender, I will try and get some pictures over the weekend for you. The light on mine is on the door side on the front of the passthrough. Mine is a Jay Flight so that may make a difference.

You can also tap into the 12V + feed in your trailer wiring harness junction box. It is the line that supplies charging voltage from the tow vehicle 7-pin connector. There should be a couple of places you can tap into that. I would put a switch in the supply to your repeater. If you are not going to use the Go-Power solar connector, then you could use that and just plug it in when you will be towing: no switch necessary that way.

Again me - I just got the connector for the Go-Power solar port. How should I connect three wires from the extender with two wires from the connector?

Thanks!

X2, with a rocker switch, so I can turn it off when sitting for longer periods.

If it wasn't mentioned earlier, I wouldn't cut into the wire for the jack. Wouldn't want to compromise that wire.
