TT Names
The following is an excerp from one of Ladywendolyn's posts ... the new trailer.. now affectionately named "The Nest".
We named ours "Big T" (it's a long story).
Recently, we visited the campsite of friends who bought our old camper and they have named it "The Love Shack". I didn't ask why.
It seems like most folks name their campers. Is that so?

We have seen some rv's with a decal of it's "name" on the back of the rv. We threw the idea out to our grandkids about naming our tt and getting a decal of it.... as of yet (over two and a half years old) none of us came up with a name and it's still referred to as "the trailer" *sigh*

We call ours "The 5th Wheel"
I wonder how that would look printed up on a sticker with trees and mountains on it?

Sometimes hearing a number of trailer names can help you decide what you would like to name yours.. (if you want a name) Here are a few cute and funny trailer names I have heard over the years..
Using the word "Inn" as part of the name can be effective.. (Relax-Inn, Cruise-Inn, Dream-Inn, Chill-Inn, and my personal favorite Cram-it-all-Inn)
Old English ladies names are popular in the UK.. (Penelope, Rosie, Lizzie)
Some other cute ones I have heard are .. (Tin-Can-cottage, Get-Away-Wagon, The Great-Escape, Tow-tally-Fun, Hitched-for Life, )
The story behind our trailer name "the Nest" is as follows...
My parents have a very large boat (52ft) that they live on called "the Thunder Bird", we bought a tiny little ski boat which we called "the Baby Bird", And an artist did up a graphic sign for us that showed a cute yellow bird with big blue eyes and lipstick that kind of looked like me as a bird. So, when we bought the trailer I decided to call it "the Nest " to go with the boat etc. I was originally going to have a graphic designed that showed a truck pulling a nest with a bunch of cute birds in it.. But then I came across a really pretty painting of a nest, and decided to go with that.. As well, I found a definition that said "Nest... A place to rest before taking flight again" which is perfect for our trailer. So I put the two together.
I am working on getting permission from the artist to use the graphic, but if not I have a daughter in law who is an artist who can do something similar for me.
So have fun, and don't be afraid to steal a name that's out there..
Here is a photo of the idea I am going with..

P.S... A lot of your user names would be great names for your trailer.. Like "On-the Go"

You need an account to see the images in the link above....
My parents bought our trailer in the fall with the idea that any of their kids could use the camper whenever they wanted. We all take turns going out with our own families. My Mom called it "The Next" because she feels it brings everyone together again as a family. Often times whoever goes out camping will get a surprise visit from the other family members. Hence, "The Nest."

We've not officially named our 17z yet, but I'm leaning towards "Pappa's Place" in remembrance of my father who passed away a year ago last march. The purchase of the trailer was kinda me thinking of how I have all these great memories of camping with my Mom and Dad and how I want my kids to have those same great memories.

The wife wanted to down size but somehow that didn't happen so she now refers to it as the monster.

"Little Feather". There's a little history behind the name, while our son & DIL were expecting my wife called him/her Little Feather till the kids picked a name. The bride's side of our family are members of the Choctaw Nation also.

I call my 17Z "the Z". Not very creative, but that is what I call it. We own a lot near a state park in central Pa. It was not used for years, but I am working on it and camping on it now. I have been trying to come up with a name for it. I have been leaning toward "Almost Forgotten", but DH does not like it. I am still trying to come up with something we both like.
