TT Tires, recommendations for online dealer?

Hi all, long time no post from me. Hope all is well.

Anyone care to recommend an online tire dealer to purchase tires from? I'd rather have them shipped to my house and then I'll take in the wheels myself and have them mounted / balanced at a local shop as I slowly* start gearing up for what will hopefully be a better camping season than last years.

I figure it should be a little cheaper, or at least get me the better tire options than what I have locally. Thought I'd ask around here before doing my own solo research on it... haven't really decided what brand or anything yet, I just know the Chinese tires that came with my camper will not be hitting the road with us this year.

I ordered mine through Walmart.com and the tires had a relatively recent date code, within about 10 weeks of the actual date.

I went with Carlisle Radial HD tire and I'm super pleased with them. This will be my 3rd season with them, no signs of cracking, nice even wear. I've got abot 20,000km on them.

Tires deterioate from the inside to outside, unless tou dismount them from the rim, you can't tell

You can order online from Goodyear. They often have sales, which makes them reasonably priced. I just got them shipped to a local dealer and paid them to mount/balance for me. The Goodyears are substantially heavier and more rigid than the tires that came from the factory on my 2015 Jayco. I got the E range Endurance tires, which is overkill for my trailer, but I prefer the larger margin of error.

ETrailer.com has been good to me in the past for trailer tires and other items. However my last couple of sets I've purchased at my local Goodyear dealer. I was told by my local shop they don't receive credit for the sale if they are purchased direct.

Their costumer service has been great so I buy from them.

I bought my trailer tires from Real Deal Tires & there was no fed. or state. tax and I had them mounted at Costco.

I'm on the Goodyear site right now, I am looking at ST225/75-15 size, pretty sure that's the ones, but don't have access to my camper until this weekend to double check.

Anyway speed rating for the Endurance tires in that size is N (87 mph) - I don't plan on going much faster than 60, but nice to have the option. Question on load rating...

I understand the load rating letters, but the good year site doesn't give you the option to specify the load rating you want... the tires I'm looking at state the are 'Load Index 117 (2833 lbs)' Is that comparable to D or E if anyone knows? In either case the Raniers on my camper now (original) are about 300 pounds per tire less than that so I'm presuming these are comparable to 'load rating E' does that sound about right? An upgrade regardless.

612.00 USD before taxes, but I have no problem spending that or more on a good set. Maybe I can find a coupon or something somewhere.

Going to sit tight for a week or so, but I like the idea of just having them shipped to the local GoodYear shop (4 miles from my house) and just have them take care of it for 16 a wheel. Maybe I can get them to repack my bearings too, but I won't hold my breath there.

I'm looking into the other options suggested above as well. Thanks as always for your continued sage advice.

I sold my RV and have a brand new set of Goodyear Endurance 205-75-14 tires someone can have. Just come get them in Alabama.

I could sell them for $200 easy, but the more I give..... the more I seem to receive in return.

Bring your camper, I know a guy up the street that will mount and balance them for $40 total.

I used TireRack for my Goodyear Endurance tires and was good with the price. I specified load range E and had no problem with that. They shipped the tires to a local shop I usually deal with and I just took the trailer there and they did all the work. Very happy with that experience and the tires too.
I went through 5 carlisle tires on a boat trailer in one year - so won't be doing that again.

I did the same upgrade as you, I had Rainier 15" tires on my Jayco. I went to load range E as my rims could handle the higher tire pressure. Take a look at the back of the rim, there should be a code stamped on the back that you can google and find out what your rims are rated for.

I would throw out another pitch for the Carlisle Radial Trail HD tires. They're every bit as good as the GY Endurance, just look up some reviews. Walmart has them for $86/tire right now. I have no hesitation taking my Carlisles up to 6 or 7 years just like the GYs and I put a ton of miles on mine.

Will check out the Carlisle Radial Trail HD's after dinner, as at that price it's a lot cheaper for sure.

Just did find a goodyear 15% coupon online in a few minutes got the price down to 530 out the door, install included, free shipping to the goodyear place up the road, but that's still a substantial increase. Nice to have both options.

I'd drive to Alabama and pick up the 200 dollar set, but I'd want to take the camper along and it's not leaving my town without new rubber.

We put new tires on this past spring. The Goodyear's were first choice, and the Carlisle's were a very close second. Our local tire guy was able to score the Endurance's, so that's what we had mounted. We would've been happy with the plan "B" if that's the way it panned out.

I put new Carlisles and wheels (for aesthetic reasons) on in 2018. Discount Tire matched Walmart's price and saved me an additional $10 or $12 per tire.

Here is a picture of the back of my rim. I Googled Sendel T09 and got the info on my rims, which confirmed that I could go to 80PSI (LRE) tires.
