Tub filled with gray water

Happy New Year. Help. Overnight I found my tub filled, and the gray tank full. We did have a slow steady rain overnight (but no more than 1/2") No issues with the black tank or the kitchen sink gray tank. I've had the Jayco 26RKS for two years, been though lots of rain storms, and never had this problem. Thoughts?

It sounds to me you are saying that your gray tank filled unexpectedly. Was it empty the night before? Can you drain it now and monitor it closely?

So far, something like a dripping faucet seems like a more likely cause than anything related to rain.

This is not rain but rather,
you've over-filled your gray tank and it backed up into the tub.

Did you leave a faucet on...even a little bit? Most vent caps have covers so it's probably not from the rain.

What you describe sounds like the grey tank overflowing due to being full. That's the only place it can go.

Thanks for the responses. Yes, there was a sight faucet leak, but I didn't think it would fill it up so fast. I've emptied the tank, shut the faucet off good, so I'll wait ad see. Hope this is it, as this is an easy fix.

We don't use the shower much and use the space for a storage cabinet w/ drawers. To prevent problems from an overfilled gray tank, I made a riser with a couple 2x4's to keep stuff up off the shower floor. If water backs up, we catch it and drain the tank before any damage is done to the stuff stored. Easy to remove everything if we need to use the shower.

This has happened to me before when I had to leave the CG to go to work for a few days and returned to water in the tub. The DW and kids are not water conservationists, I`m afraid. Drained off the grey into a tote tank.

While living in my trailer while I worked at the refinery I was shocked at how quickly the gray tank filled up and then backed up into my bathtub. I had to empty it every other day.
