TV question, again, 32bhds or any jayflight

Ok, I see that the TV only runs on shore power.

Now, beneath the TV on my 32BHDS there is a plug for a 12 volt connection. To run the TV off the batteries is it as easy as plugging in an inverter into the 12 volt, and my tv into the inverter?

What size inverter would you recommend for a 26 inch LCD.

Thanks, I leave on Sunday for my first family trip . . . 6 weeks!

Happy camping to all.

P.S. With the humidex it is 108 in Winnipeg today . . . yes, that's Winnipeg, Canada.

I believe it is intended for TV's that can run on 12 volts. As far as an inverter goes you will need to determine what the wattage your TV is rated for. Also power inverters will drain your RV batteries quicker Not going where there is power? I would recommend getting a generator at least 2000 (I think - new to RV'n too) watts continuous - to power your AC, microwave etc and to recharge RV batteries. That would be a better choice than an inverter AFAIK
