TV's

My MH has 2 tv's. I had hardly any channels till I put on the Wineguard Wingman. Now I get over 25 in my driveway. I'm about 50 miles from Chicago, so I am impressed. Only problem is the sound is very low coming out of the TV speakers. Is there any way to get sound out of the many speakers in the ceiling? I have the Clarion radio, GPS, DVD player, so is there some way to send the sound thru that??

Thanks for any help.

Check your manuals for the TV and stereo and see if you have an AUDIO IN on the stereo. It is usually on the back of the stereo. You may also have an AUX IN on the front panel of the stereo. Check the TV for an AUDIO OUT. Connect AUDIO OUT from the TV to AUDIO IN or AUX IN on the stereo. Set the stereo to the proper setting and enjoy. If no AUDIO OUT on the TV, you can use the headphone jack. You can get an adapter cord to go from the headphone jack to the red and white RCA type plugs. Just did something like this after replacing the old FM/DVD player in my TT.

I have a 2013 31DS and live in Plainfield, IL. I Goggled the Wineguard Wingman because I never heard of it. Is this something you did yourself? Did you get your TV sound through your surround sound speakers before the change? I don't have the answer for you but I bet my dealer does. Ricks RV in Joliet. Hope this helps. I'm going to try my TV in my driveway and see how many channels I get.

The older trailers came out with just the standard Wineguard BATWING antenna that did not have the UHF dipoles added to it. Then Wineguard came out with an add-on for those antenna.

The newer trailers come with a newer Wineguard BATWING crankup antenna that has all of that built-in.

I got mine at Ricks also. I couldn't get any channels before adding on the wingman, so I don't know if the sound worked better that way, but I don't see how it would make a diff. As far as installing it it took about 2 minutes tops. Just remove the rubber bumpers on the underside and hold the wingman in place and push in 3 push pins.

X2 on the TV audio. Maybe it is set for automatic volume level control or something.

Check and see if you have outside speakers and see if they are on. The sound for the tv should not be affected if the wiring is right. Adding the antenna part should not affect the level either, I don't think.
