UNwinterizing

May be a dumb question but I'm a newbie...

Bought a used TT that was winterized. What all needs to be done to UNwinterize it?

I hook up a hose to the water inlet set the valves to city water and run fresh water through the system until no more of the pink antifreeze is coming out of the faucets.
That's all that I think needs to be done, but I like to sanitize the lines with a10% bleach solution.

Search JOF for the method to sanitize your fresh water tanks. Typically it's a small amount of bleach, mixed with 15 gallons of water, loaded into your holding tank and the pipes, where it will sit for 8 hours... Drain, fill with fresh , flush, drain, repete.

Your hot water heater is likely bypassed. If it is, your should flush the antifreeze from the lines first, so you don't push that into the hot water tank

The intake line from your fresh water tank is likely in bypass position from when they pumped antifreeze into your pipes. You will need to in bypass so that fest water from your holding tanks can be pumped into your lines

Check smoke detector battery- better yet, replace it.

Air in tires is a must. Set them when they are cold, and set them based on the sticker on your rig

Check the Water levels in batteries ( use distilled water only ) and connect to shore power for 24 hours to get a good charge on the battery. Start this when you will be available to check it every 30 minutes or so for the first few hours to ensure its not getting over heated due to a bad cell.

Plenty of videos on youtube about winterizing and un-winterizing your rig. Very important that you learn the position of all the valves on your hot water heater tank and your fresh water tank and pump. Don't want to run a bunch of antifreeze into your fresh water tank nor your hot water heater.
