Upgrading from 28DSBH to 284BHBE or 28BHBE

Anyone here upgrade from the White Hawk 28DSBH to either a 284BHBE or 28BHBE? We are seriously considering it right now and was curious how people liked the different features.

Will be nice to have a large shower plus the U-shaped dinette.

Would also be interested in hearing any differences in towing characteristics.

We have the 284BHBE and love it. The shower is great, large bunks work well. The only thing that we have found lacking is a a view out a window to the passenger side, but there isn't much you can do about that with the mid kitchens. The living room isn't laid out the best for a long evening of TV watching, but we find that we rarely do that and instead only watch a little late at night from bed.

I also tow with a duramax, and it does fine. If you boondock, note that the fresh water is 80 gallons, but the gray is 35.

We LOVE our 28BHBE. As far as weight goes, IIRC the Flight has more CCC than the WhiteHawk, so while the "dry" weights are similar, the GVWR is higher on the Flight (?). Also, the Flight is taller than the WhiteHawk inside which is nice. But from a functional floor plan and usage standpoint, they are not that much different IMO.

Very nice shower too, that was one of the main selling points along with the configuration of the bunkhouse and the space created by the huge slide.

As far as the dinette, Jace817 said the living space isn't great for TV watching, and I would have to agree. What I do is remove the table from the dinette and slide it in between the couch and the back of the dinette. This creates a nice "lounge" area and I can kick my feet up and relax while DW lounges on the couch. I'm planning to make a small "cocktail" table to put in there when I have it set up this way so I have a convenient place to set my "beverage".

Thanks for the information. I think we're settled on the Eagle. I love keeping the layout and DW loves the decor so who am I to argue? Thanks again.
