Valve question

I'm waiting on my autodrains to arrive. I noticed that my valve handles SPIN. My valves have the extensions on them. Is it normal? I expected it to turn then tighten up. Do I have to open valve and hold the shat to remove the extension ?

If you mean low point drains, the pull up to open and push down to close.

No twisting.

Probably, I don't think they are threaded into the blade valve, but molded in as they are produced.
