Vents open or closed on hot days

I read another post which got me thinking. I ALWAYS have my bath vent open. I have vent covers, so there's never a problem with weather. In this other post, it was mentioned how much heat was entering in through the vent, and it got me thinking.

Do you leave any vents open on a hot day, and does closing them have a significant impact on the cooling of your camper? I have a BHLT 5th with 2 13,500 A/C's so cooling isn't an issue in any weather, but I am wondering if I could get it even colder by closing the vent.

We left the bath vent open all the time with our X23B, I figured it cut down on condensation. I was doing the same thing in the 351 until I was in the bathroom and wondering where all the water drops on the floor were coming from. Well, water falls DOWN so I looked UP. There was lots on condensation following the A/C ducting running above the bath ceiling and even more around the A/C vent in there. I was pondering this when it hit me how much warm (humid) air was pouring in thru the open vent. In hot weather it is now closed when the A/C is running. I think it helps the general cooling too.

We only open it when taking the kids to the pool or when showering. The one in the kitchen area may be turned on occasionally to let the rising hot air out.

I put covers on my vents a few months ago and they have been open ever since.

Now that we have a cover, typically they are always open.

This would be a good polling question. hint hint moderators.

I'm getting the same thing and I used to keep the vents closed before the vent covers. After I put the vent covers on, I kept them open. I think that I am going to change my ways a bit!
