water dripping from enclosed underbelly

In the last week or so, when the rain isn't falling(which has been a rare occasion in her NJ lately), I have found a small spot on the ground under the black tank area that stays wet from a slight drip. The drip is coming from what looks like a pre-drilled (or prior to my purchase anyway) hole in the black corregated stuff they use to enclose the underbelly. The drip is very slow, as there isn't even a puddle, just a wet area about 3" across, but enough to not dry up throughout the day. I removed the underbelly material, and the insulation was wet, and about a cup of water ran out and the insulation under the black tank was soaked. This is not gray or black tank water, it is clear and doesn't smell at all. Could this be just water from condensation? Both black and gray tanks are emtpy. No drips or wetness around any of the plumbing fittings from either tank...No signs of any water leakage/damage on the inside...I haven't had any water in the fresh tank, or city hookup since first week of Sept so I dont think it is a fresh water line. Any one have any ideas?

Bob,

Carefully get on the roof and check the stink pipes and frig vent for any cracked caulking or broken plastic that may let water in. These are two possible sources that could funnel water to the lower part of the TT. Might as well check the roof vents, roof/wall joints, gutter rails, window seals, etc.,...... water could be getting down within the wall structure (hope not).

Check around the lower perimeter of the TT from the floor line down for any possible openings. Could there still have been "some" remaining water in the fresh water tank leaking out somewhere?

To rule out the plumbing system, put a little water in the fresh water tank and turn the pump on, see if the pump cycles when there isn't any demand for water.

Bob
