Water Filter Leaks
Last time I went camping I hooked up the water filter to the hose and TT water connection and it leaked ALOT from the hose/air filter bottle. The other 2 times I have gone camping, it never leaked there. Is there a way to keep this from wasting water and getting water all over the place?

Was there a washer in the connection where the water was leaking out of?

I have had problems even with new plastic washers, so I always use rubber ones, and have no leaks unless it's the occasional defective or warped one.

Was it actually leaking from your hose or was it a vacuum breaker mounted on the park faucet? Vacuum breakers (anti backup device) most always burp water as the park water system pressure changes. No way to stop it and the vacuum breakers are required in a lot of areas by law. They are in Florida where I am now. The vacuum breaker will be what you actually screw your hose onto as it is between the faucet and your hose.

I experienced a similar problem. As "ed" notes, check for the vaccuum breaker on the pad faucet. I installed my pressure regulator directly onto the CG faucet. The regulator had a screen molded into the washer and the vaccuum breaker had a little extension that interferred with that screen and prevented a good seal. Leaked like a cow going on a flat rock. After fooling with it a few minutes I noticed the screen was deformed. Moved the pressure regulator to the TT end of the water line and all was good. And, guess what, I was in Fla. I now have a "Y" that I install on the CG faucet (it has its own backflow preventer as well) and the pressure regulator connects to that.

OMG, I am dying laughing......"leaked like a cow going on a flat rock"!!! What a hoot......but yes, it WAS leaking that bad! haha
I connected my fresh water hose to the TT, then on the other end connected the water filter, then the other end to the cg water post. Definitely leaking at the water filter to hose connection.

Did you ever get this sorted out? I keep a package of replacement washers (I also prefer the rubber ones) just to be safe. Try a new one where it's leaking. Could the female connector be dammaged where it connects to the hose (not the threaded part)? Jus thinkin out loud here, I hate drippy (or worse) hose connections too.
About the "cow", glad I could entertain.:hihi:

T, I went and bought a new water pressure valve thingie because I think I need one. I will try to replace the washer with a rubber one. Probably do that today after work. Will let you know. I hate to waste water......especially here in AZ.

Got me all confused as to where everything is hooked to what and where now!! I know what a "Y" connector is and use them on the CG faucet if they don't leak too much. Where exactly do I put the pressure regulator??
