Water heater pilot light

I have a Jay Flight Swift SLX camper, and the last time out we noticed that we were getting propane smell in the window over the water heater pilot light. I used a portable tester, and there was no measurable propane, but the pilot is a bit yellow and the area around the pilot is smoky. Is there an adjustment for just the pilot light? Thanks.

This doesn't sound right.... take it to a Jayco dealer and ask them to take a look!

Yellow propane flame is a sign of poor combustion.

A professional (or talented amateur) is needed to find out what's wrong and fix it.

I forgot that shortly after we noticed that, we found that the propane was essentially empty. We'll keep an eye on it with a full tank. Thanks for the responses.

I like that title, Talented amateur,

If you were close to the bottom of the LP tank, it will be a yellow flame. That's
how I tell if my grill is getting low. Clean around the oriface also, it could be some soot around the outlet.
