water in the windowsill of sliding window

Just got back from our second outing in the JayFlight 26BHS, and noticed a lot of rain water in the windowsill of one of the slide-out's side window. Upon closer inspection, I see that there is a drain slot in these windows, which naturally lets water in as well as out. I guess they are designed to contain the water in the windowsill like a trough, but it was unnerving to see what looked like a leak in our new trailer. Anybody else notice this? Thanks!

They are designed to let out the condensation that runs down the inside of the window. If there is a wind driven rain in the direction of the window, it can actually blow in through the vent a bit. It happened to me once.
