Water Pump

Can anyone tell me where the water pump is on my 2004 Grayhawk, I can hear it buzzing but it won't pump the water, anyone out there any suggestions?

I don't know where it is located but i bet if you follow the buzzing sound you will find it. Good luck.

Peter, first of all, welcome to the Forum. Most water pumps are located on the floor under a cabinet or somewhere similar. You may have to remove a drawer to find it. As stated above, listen and follow the sound. As far as it not pumping water, I have to ask the obvious question. Is there water in your fresh tank? If so, are all interior and exterior orifices closed so that the pump can achieve pressure? If everything is closed inside [faucets], take a walk around the exterior while the pump is running to make sure outside shower [if equipped] and low point drains are closed. Also check the water heater. If nothing is leaking, your pump may be bad. Hope this helps, Terry

One more thing to add to what TCNASHVILLE had to say. When you find the pump on most campers there is a set of valves for winterizing the camper. There is a chance that the valve to the tank is closed, and possibly the winterizing bypass valve is open.

Another way to find the pump is to locate the water tank. Often the tank is directly below or very close to the fill location. The pump is either directly above the tank in most in TTs. Some times in a MH or a 5ver the pump maybe next to the tank if the tank is elevated at a cargo hold level.

Just follow your ears; you may need a screwdriver to remove a panel to access it. You will not hurt the pump running it dry. The pump will turn off automatically once it reaches the set point pressure.
