Water softener recommendation?

I want a water softener for our new rig.
Anyone have one they like or can recommend?

From something I posted earlier:

We use 2 external filter cartridges connected together. The first is a Carbon Block filter followed by a Pentek 155319-03 Ws-10 10" Water Softening Cartridge. The flow rate through our setup is too low for showering, so we use CG water to fill our FW through those filters and use water from our FW tank for everything. (Full disclosure: When dumping, we do use CG water without filtering for flushing our black tank.)

We like the benefits of softer water - suds & easier on the water heater. Plus our filters remove the iron taste/smell in some CGs and the chlorine taste/smell in others.

Thanks. We actually would want enough flow rate for showering

We have no problem showering with our method... We have great showers with the flow and pressure from our trailer's water pump.

We use the trailer's water pump exclusively.
Trailers vary; ours has two FW connections: City and 'Gravity.' We never connect the CG water to our trailer's City Connection.
The 'gravity' connection fills our FW tank. As needed, we just fill the FW tank, through our filters, from the CG water.

At first we did like most everyone else and use the CG water connected to the City connection. We hated the taste and the ROTTEN coffee and the hard water showers and dish washing. Then I connected the filters to the City connection for better water taste and softness, but the showers sucked due to the low flow.

We realized showers were better when we were boondocking! Then Why even bother using the CG water connected to the City connection?

Didn't even think about using the pump. We never boondock so we are always use the city water connection. Thanks for the tip.
