Water softener storage

Just wondering is there any thing I need to do to my RV pro 10000 water softener when not be ing used? We try to camp every other weekend. What about long term storage?
Thanks
Terry

Only used mine a couple of times, but when I got it home I hooked the inlet up to my air compressor set at 40psi and blew all the water out. The manual says you can do that or turn it upside till all the water drains out. I think if cold weather is coming I will blow it out several times, or bring it indoors unless I have to travel with it during cold weather, then the multiple blow out will hopefully work.
