Our gas/electric water heater water gets too hot. I have looked and found no adjustment or . I remember seeing something in the form, but can't find it. Any suggestions?
The temp on our old TT was adjustable (gas only). The new TT (gas/electric) doesn't seem to be adjustable. Maybe the thermostat(s) can be replaced for a lower target temperature.

There is no temperature adjustment that I'm aware of. Dilute it down by opening the cold handle.

My 2008 had a mixing valve near the water heater - you had to pull a panel to get to it. It had a 2" dia grey knob but it couldn't be turned because it had serrations inside the knob - that was before the dremel tool was invited to the party. To remove the knob, you have to remove a small amount of wax inside the hex head button screw. I found that minor adjustment between early/late season and dog day of summer season would help keep the hot regulated.
Really is the same as adjusting the knobs inside or the bypass valves outside

You could have a bad thermostat that is not cutting the burner/heater off soon enough and the safety overtemp might be your only control.. I'd spring for a new thermostat to see if that fixes the problem first.

I had an issue with the water being too cold on my 2008. I adjusted the mixing valve as described above to restrict the amount of cold mixing with the hot coming out of the heater and I had hot water again.
Typically, the hot water in an RV is very hot compared to say your home hot water. This is by design. If it is TOO hot the hot water tank over pressure valve will open to vent the excess pressure. This is normal. A normal function of the hot water tank is to vent through the over pressure valve so one may see water coming out of the valve from time to time. This is normal. Having really hot water is a good thing most of the time in an RV!
